I have a yearly ritual to always go somewhere new for my birthday. On the day when I’m given another year to enjoy life, I make sure that I discover something different and new. For my last birthday in September, I went to Sardinia, Italy. A friend of mine visited Sardinia a couple of times and love this beautiful place. I knew then that I must visit too, I hope you enjoy my Sardinia Travel Experience!
Sardinia Travel Experience – Let’s talk Beaches, Food and Ducati!
In general, Italians are warm people but Sardinians are truly nice and friendly. I’ve traveled to many places and have never felt so at home when on vacation until now. Even if I was only in Sardinia from September 3rd to 8th, my Sardinia travel experience was memorable and incredible! It is on my list of places to retire (By the grace of God)
I had the amazing opportunity to stay at Forte Village Resort – Villa del Parco. It is a luxury vacation resort complete with great amenities and equally great service. The resort is embraced by greenery making it a good place for relaxation. The stunning white beach is remarkable as well as the staff of Villa del Parco. The whole team never failed to smile and accommodate every guest’s needs. I had a great time celebrating my birthday at this luxury beach resort in Sardinia. With Villa del Parco my Sardinia Travel Experience was superb.
Incredible Trip to Cagliari
My day started with an amazing facial and skin treatment. I also had the Aromatherapy massage – A relaxing massage with essential oils and specific aromas. It is ideal for relieving stress and banishing insomnia, and to restore the body’s natural balance!
A day trip to Cagliari followed next. A good friend of mine let me ride his Ferarri to Cagliari. Okay, I was not expecting that, now that puts my Sardinia Travel Experience to another level!
Amazing Cagliari View
The best way to see Sardinia and its amazing landscape is via a motorcycle. Make sure to stop at Solanas for incredibly breathtaking views! I did the city tour riding the Ducati Monster 900 motorcycle, awesome, right?
Sardinia Travel Experience – The Beaches
Cagliari is definitely one of the most interesting cities in Sardinia. It wouldn’t be considered the capital of Sardinia, and it’s the biggest city if it doesn’t have anything to show. Cagliari is also the most Italian city of Sardinia and this is the place where you can find the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia region. Among the magnificent beaches, I’ve visited are Cala Cipolla, Capo Spartivento and Su Giudeu.
However, my heart belongs to Villasimius Porto Giunco. I spent most of my birthday on this beach, the place is paradise on earth! It made my Sardinia travel experience an incredible day to always remember.
I had dinner at Pizzeria Oca Bianca which provided a real Sardinian dining experience. Their menu boasts authentic Italian pizza made with fresh local ingredients and I personally enjoyed their Pizza Marinara in thin crust. Paired with it are real Sardinian wine Argiolas Costera and Argiolas Costamolino, with my preference on the latter. Pizzeria Oca Bianca is at the heart of old Cagliari and has nicely decorated rooms.
Wining and Dining in Sardinia
After my scrumptious dinner, I head on to Mololchnusa for a late-night stroll. The place is gorgeous at night and the air was truly refreshing. The food, the attractions, and the people of Sardinia, Italy are truly commendable. I can’t wait to have another and a much longer time to explore Sardinia beach and the rest of the island and beyond.
