My 3 Day Trip to Paris France!

I have always wanted to visit and explore Paris.  During my Europe tour, after visiting London and catching up with my BFF. Therefore, I embarked on a three day trip to Paris afterwards!

First Impression – 3 Day Trip to Paris France

Paris is such a sexy and romantic city. Parisians are nice people in general although I think Italians appear to be warmer (personal experience). One thing that is very noticeable about Parisians is their fashion sense. They love to dress up and even guys look very well-dressed. In fact, I find their casual look to be similar to the dressed-up look in America. Women in Paris look truly chic and sophisticated in their manner of dressing.

Day 1 – 3 Day Trip to Paris France

I got to Paris early in the evening and I headed straight to Golden Gates Of The Petit Palais. For a truly French experience, I stayed in the Sofitel Hotel. I love Sofitel and have stayed in many of their hotels both in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, China and Lagos, Nigeria.

First stop -Golden Gates Of The Petit Palais

After checking in and unpacking, I headed straight to The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées and  Golden Gates of the Petit Palais.  The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées is commonly known as the Grand Palais. This is a large historic site that features an exhibition hall and museum complex located at the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France. This is where they hold the Chanel show!

Next is Rue Saint- Honoré – 3 Day Trip to Paris France

OMG, talk about all the well-known designers in one place. I literally went to Fashion heaven and came back!   Luxury brand aficionados will find this street to be heaven on earth. Designer luxury brands can be found along this street and upscale boutiques are not limited to what most people are familiar with.

I fell in love with the Chanel boutique in Paris as it has most of my favorite Chanel bags. You can, of course, find Hermes, Givenchy, Gucci, Longchamp, and many other designer brands. Rue Saint- Honoré is a place every fashion lover must visit.

My 3 Day Trip to Paris France means nothing without coming here. As I walk along this street, I got inspired by the dedication and commitment of these brands to deliver superior quality products and services. These famous and well-established designer brands are, for me, the epitome of integrity. Their credibility and reputation stemmed from their consistent desire and continuous effort to deliver first-class products and services.

In my trip to Paris, France, I also got to visit a great store named Colette. It offers an incredible selection of merchandise including trendy accessories and jewelry, one-of-a-kind furniture, and luxury apparel for men and women.

Unwinding – Day 1 

After a long day hitting my favorite spots, I was tired, thirsty, and hungry, needless to say! To unwind, I went to this cool cafe called Cafe de la Comedie.

The place was not so busy when I went there.  I opted for outdoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient, I would not hesitate to visit this place again.

 Day 2 – Combing the City

To really have a feel and enjoy the city with the little time that I had, I decided to explore Paris on foot. Good thing I was wearing comfortable shoes so I was very much ready to discover and experience Paris by walking along its streets. Everyone strolls along the street and almost any side street off of it has a story to tell.

Then there is the Champs-Elysées and the elite shopping Rue du Faubourg St. Honoré.  If you’re going to visit Paris, I suggest you walk in a less crowded area. Wander the streets or look up one of the many recommended neighborhood walking tours.  Those street walks reveal history and lessons behind the most casual of doors. You can also augment your walks with a bike ride by visiting a Vélib’ station.

During my two days, ALL day walk, I visited some amazing places such as:

1. Eiffel Tower – 3 Day Trip to Paris France

This iconic symbol of Paris usually ranks as the number one thing to visit for most tourists. Constructed in 1889 World Exposition, this iron structure stands 1000 feet high in the Champ de Mars park. Make sure you get a photo opportunity at this world-renowned tourist attraction. Whether you visit in the morning or at night, you’re sure to get a good view and a good shot. Ride the elevator to see more incredible views or try one of the two fine restaurants within the tower.

2. The Louvre Museum – 3 Day Trip to Paris France

The signature glass pyramid that marks the entrance of the Louvre Museum is as breathtaking as what’s inside the museum. With over 1 million objects, you might need half a lifetime to discover what the Louvre has to offer. So begin your exploration today and check out the pre-20th-century sculpture, painting, and decorative objects. The Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa are must-sees, of course, but make sure you also visit the less crowded wings and take a good look at Rembrandt, Caravaggio and Vermeer’s works.

3. Arc de Triomphe

Constructed in 1805 to commemorate Napoleon Bonaparte’s triumphal battles, the Arc de Triomphe stands 164 feet high and features intricate reliefs that represent the victorious battles. The names of those who died fighting for the emperor is also engraved in the arch.

4. Notre Dame Cathedral – 3 Day Trip to Paris France

I also visited the famous Notre Dame Cathedral. This amazing church stands 400 feet high and showcases the marvelous French Gothic architecture. Gothic architecture.

5. Place de la Concorde

A Paris tour won’t be complete without visiting this iconic landmark. This place looks spectacular both day or night but it mesmerized me when I saw it just when the sun is about to set. I did not have time tour inside, but I had the chance to see it from the outside.

Unwinding – Day 2

Paris is filled with lots of gardens and parks and two of my favorites are the square Gabriel Pierné down rue de Seine facing the Institut de France and square Jean XXIII along Notre-Dame and the Seine.  You can find a good spot to take a break and unwind a little.

After much-needed rest, it is time to grab a bite.  I went to Rosa Bonheur Sur Seine. This unique non-touristy place has a very chic ambiance hence it is located directly on the bank of the River Seine at the foot of Alexander III’s Bridge. If you are looking for a good view of the Bateaux-Mouches sailing by, you must visit this restaurant. There is a huge terrace here that is overlooking the river and you’ll have a great view of the calming waters and the distinctive wood-glass boats of Paris.

It was so crowded when I visited so ordered a glass of wine and pizza as a takeaway and ate on the side of the river.

After a full day of walking, I got back to the hotel and had some rest. I needed to recharge so I’ll have full energy when it’s time to hit the shopping district again at night! Evenings and the Paris nightlife are truly beautiful. Paris, for me, is one of of the MOST photogenic city in Europe. Apart from visiting most of Paris, France attractions, make sure you also catch the sunset and capture the moment.

I did not have a lot of time but had a great Parisian experience with the limited opportunity that I had. I would definitely visit Paris again but for now, to Cologne, Germany I went the next day.
